Amica Car Insurance Review 2022 – Forbes Advisor
Amica Auto Insurance
Amica sells all the standard car insurance types you would expect:
Liability insurance: Automobile liability insurance pays others when you are responsible for an accident that causes injury or property damage. It also provides financial protection against lawsuits and can pay court costs.
Collison and full coverage: Collision insurance pays to repair or replace your vehicle if it is damaged or destroyed in an accident, regardless of fault. Damage to your car caused by floods, hail, falling objects, vandalism and collisions with animals is covered by comprehensive car insurance, which also pays if your car is stolen.
Coverage of medical payments: This pays for necessary medical expenses or funeral costs if you or your passengers are injured in an accident (regardless of fault).
Personal Injury Protection (PIP): PIP insurance pays for lost wages, medical expenses and substitute services if you or your passengers are injured in an accident and cannot perform routine household chores such as cleaning your house.
Uninsured/Underinsured Motorist Coverage: This pays for injuries to you and your passengers resulting from an accident with an uninsured or underinsured driver who was at fault. In some states, uninsured motorist coverage will also pay for damage to the car caused by an uninsured driver.
More car insurance benefits from Amica
Gap insurance: For people who lease or finance their vehicles, Amica offers gap insurance, also known as loan/lease insurance. If your car is totaled, this coverage will pay you the difference between the depreciated value of the car and the amount of the lease or loan you still owe. You must purchase it within 30 days of buying or leasing your car.
Rent reimbursement: If your car is being repaired due to a problem covered by your policy, rental reimbursement benefits pay for transportation costs. This can cover expenses for rental cars, ride-sharing services, taxis, trains and buses. Coverage varies by state, but most Amica policies offer $20 per day and up to $600 total.
Roadside assistance: This coverage helps you if you need to recharge a dead battery, fix a flat tire, run out of gas, get stuck in snow or mud, or need a tow to a repair shop.
Full Glass Coverage: This additional benefit pays to repair or replace your windshield, windows and other auto glass, with no deductible.
